Nduka Mntambo is a multidisciplinary artist and academic. Currently, he serves as the Head of the Masters Program at the Netherlands Film Academy. Previously, he led the Film and Television program at the Wits School of Arts. He is an advisory board member of Sonic Acts Organization, Amsterdam. Nduka's work spans urban spatial practices, experimental filmmaking, and pedagogy. He has also been involved as a jury member in various film festivals, including the 51st International Film Festival Rotterdam, the 29th Sarajevo Film Festival, and the inaugural Amsterdam Student Film Festival (ASFF) in 2023. Nduka's research focuses on the intersection of artistic practice and urban life in the global south. He has received the National Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences Mobility Grant and the NIHSS Award for Best Visual Art. In addition to his academic pursuits, Nduka has collaborated on film productions and video installations that explore diverse themes and locations. His works have been showcased at forums such as the UN-Habit: World Urban Forum, the Videoex Internationales Experimental Film and Video Festival in Zurich, the Michaelis Galleries in Cape Town, and The Point of Order Project Space in Johannesburg.
